General Background
Nicky Walters has made greetings cards since childhood, starting with pressed flower pictures for friends and family. The volume of these being so great that a special extra large flower press was commissioned from her father to cope with demand! The annual Christmas cards followed when one year, as a Nanny, she had time on her hands in the afternoons when her young charge was asleep for a few hours. Using bright sparkly materials was a change from pressed flowers. The shoe boxes filled with finds from craft shops grew to shelvesful and now finally a whole room grandly called 'The Studio'.
Wedding Stationery gives her the excuse to make a lot of 'girly, pretty and expressive designs with lots of hearts and flowers'. Helping other people's wedding dreams to become reality.
